SUMMER RETREATS IN MOYNE RETREAT CENTRE: HEARING THE CALL
Can you hear the bell? Inviting you to take time out? Inviting you to reflect on your life? Inviting you to be and do more?

You are invited to a directed retreat in Moyne youth centre to take time out of your hectic daily life to relax and reflect on life as a young Christian, to experience the peaceful serenity along your personal faith journey, to accompany others who are seeking God in their lives, and to learn how to connect in the most powerful way through prayer, scripture reflection and meditation.

July 30th to 1st August

INTRODUCTORY COURSE IN YOUTH MINISTRY
An introduction course in youth ministry will be run this Autumn (2010) for anyone interested within the Diocese. The course is based on one run by Youthcom. Topics include: "What is Youth Ministry?", "Youth Culture and Adolescent Development", "Connecting with Youth and Methods of Working with Groups". KNOCK SUMMER FESTIVAL 2010 "WALK BY FAITH"
This weekend!"
Prayer, music, reflection, talks, workshops and more.
25th to 27th June 2010. 18 - 35 year olds.
Cost €70 inc. food and accomodation. If you prefer not to stay you can also come and go for the day.
A group from AYM will be attending the festival if you would like to go or if you know of any young adults who might enjoy the weekend.

INTERNATIONAL EVENTS

Taize 2010 *Final few places*
Last few places available for our trip to Taize in France this summer 2010 (15th to 23rd August). Cost €350 approx. Deposit €100 required. Places limited to 20. For young adults aged 17 and over. Accomodation is camping but if you prefer there are rooms available in Taize. If you are interested in travelling you can email us on info@aym.ie or phone (086) 8255178.

World Youth Day Madrid 2011
Why not join Ardagh and Clonmacnois Youth Ministry Pilgrimage to WYD 2011 from 8th to 23 August?

To date we have organised and participated in five World Youth Days in Paris, Rome, Toronto, Cologne, and Sydney. Join us in Madrid in 2011. Remember WYD 2011 in August is going to be hot! There will be huge crowds and the pilgrimage can be physically demanding. What they don't tell you is that it's also great craic!

Deposits of €200 now being taken.

Fundraising Concert for Newtownforbes Church Restoration
A fundraising Concert in aid of Newtownforbes Church Restoration Fund will be held on Sunday 27th June at 8.00 p.m. in St. Mel's Cathedral Centre, Longford. The Celtic Tenors will be joined by The Celtic Philharmonic Chorus, comprising of Longford County Choir, Newtownforbes Church Choir, Riverside Chorus and Suaimhneas with Directors Catherine Killoran and Derek Mahody and Accompanist Fintan Farrelly. Tickets at €20 are available from Choir members and are on sale in Smiths' Gala and Bell's in the village and in Dennistons in Longford.
